Hunting Recreational Licenses- Non-Resident

By law, residency is defined by your driver's license or non-driver's ID card. View the Residency Information page for details.

It is illegal in Alabama for a non-resident with a valid driver's license to possess an Alabama non-driver's ID card.

Non-residents age 16 years of age and over are required to have appropriate recreational licenses.

Non-residents age 15 years and younger are required to have the bait privilege or the nighttime feral swine and/or coyote hunting license.

Hunters should review the requirements for Hunter Education, Harvest Record for deer and/or turkey and Game Check.

Most recreational licenses below can be purchased online, at your local Probate Office or License Commissioner, license agents, WFF District Offices or Montgomery Office and by calling 1-888-848-6887.

Baiting Privilege - required to hunt deer or feral swine over bait. Required to all ages. No exemption. - $63.40

Nighttime Feral Swine & Coyote Hunting License - required to hunt feral swine or coyote at night. Required to all ages. No exemption. - $61.65

Non-Resident College Students (17-23) - allow certain non-resident students to qualify for annual resident recreational hunting and fishing licenses. Must be enrolled in an approved AL Higher Education Institute.

Disabled Military Veterans Appreciation 3-Day Event Hunting - Allows for sanctioned events hosting disabled military veterans to hunt for 3-days in Alabama. Event license permits up to 10 disabled military veterans on one event license. - $173.90
